چکیده

The immense dependence of the growing population on groundwater has resulted in depletion at a fast pace can be seen nowadays. Identifying potential zone proved as an aid to provide insight decision-makers and local authorities for planning purposes. This study evaluated delineation zones using integrated remote sensing GIS approach. Various thematic layers such geology, geomorphology, lineament, slope, drainage, soil, land use/land cover, rainfall were considered this these have influence occurrence its cycle, maps been prepared domain. Afterward, appropriate weights assigned based multi-criteria decision analysis, i.e., Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). Groundwater potentiality delineated different (low, moderate, high, very high) region weighted overlay analysis. reveals with prospects viz. low (1.27%), moderate (15.65%), high (75.54%), (7.29%). ground survey data provided by CGWB (Central Ground Water Board) nearly 100 wells/dug wells/borewells/piezometers used validation purposes, showing comparable results zones. It also confirms that majority wells fall under or They found thereby indicating there is existence permeable reservoir considerable water storage subsurface. One most important issues users governments depletion. Planning available resource made easier identifying (low high).
